Founder / Sea urchin fisherman / Seaweed bed restorer (CEO, Kesamaru Marine LLC)
“For every bit of care we give, the sea gives back in kind.」

Director
Born in Saga in 1986. After high school he studied at university in Shanghai. Returning to Japan, he worked in store and brand management and nationwide retail expansion at a Nordic apparel company in Tokyo. Exposure to Nordic sustainability thinking and its forward-looking action drew his attention back to his home prefecture, and in 2015 he returned to Saga, working in branding, project direction, and management centered on food and primary industry. Meeting the founder in 2020, he was struck by a conviction unlike any other and has walked beside the work since — co-founding BLUE REVIVE with him in 2026.

Director (Certified SME Management Consultant / Senior Decarbonization Advisor, Ministry of the Environment programme)
Born in Tokyo in 1989. He joined JETRO in 2014 and was posted to Saga in 2017, where he worked to expand exports of local products. Posted to India in 2020, he returned to Japan urgently amid the pandemic in 2021 and chose to go independent and settle in Saga. That year he founded the SAGA COLLECTIVE cooperative, bringing together 12 companies across 11 industries. He established a model for producing and consuming carbon credits locally, earning the Minister of the Environment Award at both the Green Purchasing Awards and the Decarbonization Challenge Cup. Seeking a more direct approach to natural capital, he joined BLUE REVIVE in May 2026.
