The Global Nature Positive Summit 2026 in Kumamoto brought together 3,500 leaders from international organizations, business, academia, and NGOs. BLUE REVIVE, together with leading fishers from across Kyushu, hosted a side event on the theme of fisher-led marine nature positive. The room filled beyond capacity, and more than 150 pioneers, companies, and organizations from across Japan joined the reception that followed.
The pure, overwhelming energy in the room felt like the beginning of rapid adoption across Japan. Regions rich in natural capital have a major role to play — this is no longer just an environmental theme, but something that will connect with, and be implemented across, every kind of local industry and product. BLUE REVIVE will keep moving forward from our field in Karatsu, Saga, in partnership with a wide range of stakeholders.
